So I am a psychologist. And by that I don't mean I can read your mind, I am simply studying the brain and the mind and a high level. I wanted to rant about how stupid this can all be at times, as I have left my revision wayyyyy too late again and am feeling the consequences.
So, we have the Brain. And one part of our brain, is the forebrain. The forebrain is split into two primary sections, the telencephalon and the diencephalon. Within the telencephalon, there is the cerebral cortex, the limbic system and the basal ganglia. The cerebral cortex specifically is the skin of the brain basically... a thin layer of tissue that is responsible for things such as language. This is split into four lobes. Each lobe has a different responsibility that is then linked to other parts of the brain. The limbic system and basal ganglia have subsections too.
WHY THE HELL ARE THERE SO MANY SUBSECTIONS. AND WHY DO NONE OF THEM HAVE LOGICAL ORIGINS?!
I think my rant may be over. Although I never thought studying the brain would be easy, I didnt realise there were so many subsections to one individual bit of the brain.
Help me. My exam is so soon.
Kind and soothing comments would be lovely.
you'll do great I'm sure, good luck on your exam, and loving the blog :-)
